- Prince Harry attended a British-American business lunch in Montecito and joked about royal family drama.
- The royal compared drama with his family to the British TV show Downton Abbey.
- Harry has been feuding with King Charles and Prince William for years.
It's no secret that Prince Harry has been locked in a years long feud with the royal family that shows noooooo sign of ending anytime soon—and apparently he made a cheeky reference to the drama during a private lunch.
Prince Harry attended the British-American Business Council’s 65th Annual Christmas Luncheon in Montecito on Friday, December 5, where he referenced Julian Fellowes' beloved show Downton Abbey.
"People sometimes ask if growing up with the royal family was a bit like Julian's Downton Abbey," Harry said, per People. "Yeah, but only one of those worlds is filled with drama, intrigue, elaborate dinners [and] marriages to Americans—and the other is a TV show."
He's got jokes!
And speaking of Christmas, nope, it doesn't sound like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be flying over to England to celebrate with the royals. In fact, apparently the couple weren't invited due to the family still being upset over...Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party? As a reminder, Meghan and Harry were photographed at the party (and said photos were scrubbed from social media), which ruffled royal feathers.
A source recently told Us Weekly that the chances of the Sussexes being invited to royal Christmas were "slim" and that there were concerns about "whether or not trust can be rebuilt" after the debacle because "if they are going to go out and look like Hollywood players, it’s at odds with what the palace and royal family members would do."
